Construction Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Support the creation of plans and schedules, collaborating with superintendents, supervisors, and administrators on project activities.

• Partner with the Senior Construction Manager to oversee the construction scope, schedule, and budget for projects.

• Lead the management of on-site project teams for smaller-scale initiatives.

• Administer subcontractor contracts in conjunction with the Senior Construction Manager.

• Assist in the change-order process, which includes notifications and organizing supporting data for review and processing.

• Foster a safety culture within the office and at job sites.

• Act as the Project Site Safety Leader in the absence of a full-time EHS Supervisor.

• Estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment necessary for managing project changes.

• Aid in startup, commissioning, and closeout planning activities.

• Adhere to quality-management policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate degree with over 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, along with experience in managing multi-discipline construction projects.

• Proven experience in heavy civil construction, including mass earthwork, retaining wall systems, groundwater management, and stormwater infrastructure.

• Competence in reading plans, drawings, and specifications, as well as interpreting data.

• Understanding of construction sequencing and planning, construction scheduling/durations, safety planning, and methods and means.

• Local travel requirement of 10%.

• Applicants must possess current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Sponsorship is not available for this position.

• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification is preferred.

• OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper Certification is preferred.
