This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Provide leadership and oversight in the field for electric distribution line construction projects.
• Supervise and inspect the daily operations of multiple electric contractor teams.
• Ensure the installation of electric infrastructure complies with safety standards, company specifications, and government regulations.
• Manage objectives related to cycle-time and cost performance.
• Oversee contractors engaged in electric cable installations and cut-ins.
• Notify federal, state, and local authorities as required before, during, and after construction.
• Coordinate with customers about job site requirements, construction sequencing, and site readiness.
• Maintain communication with contractor supervision concerning job performance and document outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with distribution contract terms, conditions, and technical specifications.
• Verify essential unit quantities.
• Make field decisions regarding job modifications and document updates in information technology systems.
• Schedule and coordinate necessary electric system outages.
• Conduct weekly safety audits for crews and record performance using the Asset Suite Safety Audit/Observation Tool.
• Coordinate permit and work-with requirements with third-party utilities and permitting agencies.
• Review and approve documentation submitted by contractors.
• Communicate job status to facilitate adherence to scheduling commitments.
• Maintain customer communication throughout construction and conduct completion walk-downs.
• Perform storm duty assignments as required.
• Report to the service center, job site, or remote location as needed.
• Comprehensive knowledge of company operations, environmental, and safety practices.
• Practical understanding of electric operations.
• Ability to maintain or acquire switching and outage authorization.
• Over 10 years of experience in construction management oversight.
• Extensive knowledge of PC and job/work management software, including AS8, Atlas, Mobile Maps, and MS Office Suite.
• In-depth understanding of materials, construction standards, OSHA regulations, and safety requirements for electric distribution and substation construction.
