Construction Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee, coordinate, and manage field-based construction activities for assigned projects within a specific geographic area.

• Collaborate with employees at all levels involved in construction projects.

• Handle budgets, schedules, vendors, site designs, material procurement, progress tracking, site utility coordination, and project closeouts.

• Create estimates to serve as budgets for new site development and capital improvement initiatives.

• Implement field team operational procedures to ensure adherence to relevant safety and regulatory standards, requirements, and protocols.

• Guarantee that all product lines are constructed according to American Tower Master Construction Specifications.

• Adhere to project timelines while delivering high-quality products.

• Identify potential risk factors and work with the manager to develop preventative action strategies.

• Resolve, negotiate, and mediate issues or complaints from clients or subcontractors at the site level.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or Planning, or equivalent experience in the wireless site development sector is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in wireless site construction and/or related fields such as civil or building construction is mandatory.

• Preferred strong working knowledge of all facets of the wireless tower industry, including citing and construction, engineering, zoning, tenant and ground leases, utility easements, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven experience in managing wireless site construction, particularly through network deployment projects or construction management roles.

• Proficient financial analysis and budgeting capabilities.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

• Approximately 80% travel may be necessary.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and recommendations clearly and effectively.

• Capacity to collaborate with various functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results professionally and effectively.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
