Construction Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage all facets of various construction projects from start to finish.

• Assess project updates and progress reports while tracking safety, quality, cost, and schedule key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Collaborate with internal senior management and operations, contractors, engineers, architects, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

• Deliver timely, clear, and transparent communications to stakeholders.

• Guide general contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors to complete projects and meet contractual obligations.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations in partnership with 7-Eleven's Environmental consultant.

• Develop project plans that include project charters, schedules, responsibility matrices, risk management strategies, communication plans, and stakeholder registers.

• Facilitate site surveys and due diligence; draft scopes of work.

• Oversee estimates, budget formulation, change orders, invoice assessments, and project closure.

• Lead design evaluations and secure necessary approvals.

• Manage permitting processes and assist with negotiations with regulatory agencies and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).

• Supervise bid management and provide recommendations for contractor selection.

• Offer field oversight from preconstruction to final inspections and occupancy.

• Create site-specific equipment take-offs and orders.

• Report on project completion percentages, turnover dates, actual expenses, and cost predictions.

• Address vendor performance issues and ensure rectification of deficiencies.

• Foster a culture of safety.

• Transition projects after successful commissioning.

• Proactively oversee project milestones and escalate any impacts on time, cost, or quality within 24 hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in construction and project management.

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Alternatively: High School diploma/GED with equivalent experience or over 4 years of US military service.

• Operational experience in convenience stores, fueling, or quick-service restaurants.

• Knowledge of accessibility and life safety regulations and their applications.

• Proficiency in the installation and maintenance of retail underground storage tank (UST) fueling systems.

• Familiarity with refrigeration systems, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

• Additional certifications or education relevant to this position.

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.

• Complete mandatory Company Trainings within the assigned timeframe.

• Achieve annual safety certification.

• Submit timecards weekly, by end of day on Sunday.

• Expense reports to be submitted by the end of the month.

• Ensure all work is contracted in accordance with 7-Eleven's Contract Policy.
