πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Guide congregations and UU leaders in developing spiritually grounded and effective organizing strategies.

β€’ Create training programs, toolkits, and resources to enhance congregational organizing capabilities.

β€’ Monitor participation rates, outcomes, and engagement levels within congregations.

β€’ Provide reports on the strengths and opportunities of congregational and State Action Network organizing.

β€’ Act as the main liaison between OST and the regional staff of Congregational Life.

β€’ Organize congregational involvement in campaigns, mobilizations, and cohort-based learning experiences.

β€’ Design and co-facilitate leadership development initiatives.

β€’ Foster and strengthen relationships with faith-based and secular coalitions at local, state, and national levels.

β€’ Represent the UUA and Side With Love within interfaith and movement coalitions.

β€’ Monitor UUA congregational initiatives to guide strategic collaborations.

β€’ Provide consultation on cross-team congregational projects.

β€’ Oversee the OST congregational awards and recognition process.

β€’ Offer guidance to the OST Communications team on projects focused on congregations.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ At least 3 years of experience in community organizing, campaign leadership, or faith-based movement development.

β€’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in a congregational environment or faith-based organization.

β€’ At least 2 years of experience in curriculum, workshop, and/or program development.

β€’ Familiarity with CRM systems like EveryAction, VAN, or Action Network.

β€’ Proven experience in managing budgets and financial processes.

β€’ Background in coalition building and partnership management across faith, racial justice, or civic engagement sectors.

β€’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in public speaking.

β€’ Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities with a sharp attention to detail.

β€’ Proficiency in Google Workspace, Asana or similar project management tools, and databases.

β€’ Capability to work collaboratively and independently in a remote setting.

β€’ Commitment to the values and mission of the Unitarian Universalist Association and Side With Love, including principles of equity, inclusion, and justice.

β€’ Must have easy access to a major airport due to 30% travel requirements.
