This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +11 more states.
β’ Evaluate and assess electronic information related to new engagements and hires to identify, report, and manage potential legal, business, and positional conflicts of interest.
β’ Perform electronic research utilizing Westlaw, Google, and various other research tools to identify, eliminate, clarify, and resolve conflict- and ethics-related matters.
β’ Analyze and address conflicts of interest, providing succinct information to attorneys within the firm.
β’ Prepare, review, and analyze engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, ethics-related disclosures, waivers, ethical screens, and disengagement letters.
β’ Assess the work of colleagues in the Office of Legal Affairs and offer guidance on conflicts of interest and ethics-related issues.
β’ Engage with firm attorneys, business professionals, General Counsel, and Assistant General Counsel β Conflicts.
β’ Support the development of training and educational programs for both legal and non-legal personnel.
β’ Close client and/or matter accounts in accordance with firm policy or as requested.
β’ Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
β’ Minimum of three years of legal experience within a law firm.
β’ Active bar license in good standing is strongly preferred.
β’ At least three years of experience in conducting electronic research.
β’ Familiarity with Intapp conflicts and client intake software is preferred.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook, as well as conflicts-related programs.
β’ Prior experience with Aderant is a plus.
β’ Working knowledge of the Rules of Professional Conduct.
β’ Experience related to legal ethics and conflicts issues in a law firm setting.
β’ Strong analytical, critical thinking, legal research, and writing capabilities.
β’ Exceptional attention to detail.
β’ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
β’ Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
β’ Ability to work effectively and independently on multiple projects with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
β’ Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
