Configuration Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and set up computer applications, systems, and software for operational use

• Assist in the development and configuration of software applications

• Organize and facilitate training sessions on software usage

• Collaborate with teams from Product Management, Engineering, and Client Success

• Engage with clients during the implementation phase to ensure successful project launches

• Analyze, document, and illustrate both current and future state business processes and requirements

• Create functional and business requirements, case studies, and instructional documentation

• Configure, test, and implement business processes and client requirements

• Manage assigned project tasks while coordinating necessary resources

• Communicate effectively with and influence customers and colleagues across various departments

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of business licensing, tax, and short-term rental products

• Utilize the platform according to partner vision, value propositions, requirements, and use cases through packaged solutions

• Assist in customer onboarding by applying best practices for system setup and utilization

• Juggle multiple client engagements while maintaining accountability to stakeholders

• Transition completed work to the support team following go-live

• Collaborate with solutions and success teams to define engagement scope, effort, and best practices

• Coordinate with IT to ensure project environments are properly configured and accessible

• Perform additional duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with business licensing, tax, and short-term rental products

• Background in municipal business licensing and tax collection

• Familiarity with short-term rental operations and business activities

• Experience working in a jurisdiction's finance office focused on licensing or tax collection

• Proven experience presenting to both internal and external stakeholders

• Knowledge of municipal business licensing and tax collection processes

• Comprehensive understanding of short-term rental operations and related business activities

• Capability to advise clients on software best practices

• Experience working with computer hardware and software in the Govtech sector

• Exceptional planning, analytical, communication, technical, and problem-solving abilities

• Strong technical skills and familiarity with productivity tools

• Experience using software version control tools

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks effectively

• Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Product Suite, including Word, Excel, Project, and Visio

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the year

• Ability to remain stationary for the majority of the workday

• Capability to operate a computer and office productivity machinery consistently

• Ability to occasionally move around within the office environment

• Frequent communication via telephone or computer is required
