This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +18 more states.
• Prepare a variety of increasingly complex compliance and government filings in accordance with company service standards and departmental procedures.
• Review complex compliance and government filings completed by fellow team members.
• Provide mentoring and training to other team members.
• Create compliance tests and year-end packages, which include eligibility reviews, allocation conditions, contribution and forfeiture calculations, as well as ADP/ACP, 415, 416 Top Heavy, and 410(b) coverage tests.
• Prepare, review, and submit Forms 5500, 5330, 8955-SSA, and other necessary regulatory documents.
• Reconcile and prepare Form 5500 along with applicable schedules for large filer plans.
• Assist Plan Consultants in addressing auditor inquiries.
• Maintain understanding of moderately complex plans while enhancing knowledge of more complex plans.
• Research and resolve testing and Form 5500 concerns, collaborating with other departments when necessary.
• Support and guide team members in navigating complex issues and inquiries.
• Collaborate with Managers to refine processes and establish best practices in service delivery.
• Prepare asset reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Conduct outside asset and balance-forward earnings allocations along with participant validations.
• Draft plan documents, including Restatements, Amendments, SPDs, SMMs, and Notices.
• Assist with QDRO allocations and perform corrective earnings calculations.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
• Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• ASPPA Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation is mandatory.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting retirement adoption agreements, program manuals, along with government instructions and guidelines.
• Strong writing skills for reports and correspondence, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees across the organization.
• Advanced mathematical abilities, including the application of fractions, percentages, and ratios.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Capable of working independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Applicants must have authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
