Compliance Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the usage of Twilio's voice, SMS, and KYC products to guarantee that platform traffic is compliant, legitimate, and desired.

• Ensure that traffic adheres to Twilio’s Voice Policy, Messaging Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and CTIA standards.

• Promptly investigate cases and analyze behaviors of bad actors.

• Detect bad actors, non-compliant activities, and evolving tactics, taking appropriate actions while reducing false positives.

• Recognize trends and underlying issues, suggesting preventative measures.

• Utilize call detail records and aggregate traffic data to spot patterns and determine necessary actions.

• Address urgent issues that impact businesses, carriers, and consumers globally.

• Employ Twilio tools and investigative techniques to identify and mitigate non-compliant activities.

• Offer customer support via email.

• Occasionally travel for project-related or team in-person meetings as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to work a non-standard Tuesday to Saturday schedule; holiday work may be necessary.

• 1-2 years of experience in KYC, fraud, abuse, or compliance within e-commerce, FinTech, or telecommunications.

• Experience in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a strong inclination towards decisive action.

• Empathy and a willingness to collaborate with customers and carriers to resolve issues using data insights.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities and comfort in ambiguous situations.

• Above-average written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to express concepts and ideas clearly and succinctly.

• Openness to working alongside communications partners and industry stakeholders.

• Strong time-management and organizational skills; comfortable working under pressure.

• Basic knowledge of SQL, Looker, Tableau, or equivalent data extraction and visualization tools.

• Fundamental understanding of APIs and related technologies.

• A background in telecommunications is preferred.
