Compliance Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Assist the Compliance Manager and Assistant Compliance Manager in the daily functions of the ECF unit.

• Ensure adherence to the Bank’s AML/KYC policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

• Monitor and analyze regulations issued by the Central Bank of the UAE.

• Provide compliant solutions to business areas and intervene as necessary to halt transactions, processes, or proposals.

• Implement compliance initiatives within RBG.

• Oversee internal and external compliance requirements while identifying issues impacting the bank.

• Aid in maintaining compliant internal procedures and policies.

• Complete assigned tasks within designated SLA/TAT.

• Assist in AML/compliance training programs for stakeholders.

• Support enhanced due diligence for high-risk businesses and evaluate high-risk relationship proposals.

• Review eName checker referrals and deliver compliance feedback.

• Prepare designated RBG Compliance reports/MIS.

• Assist with the implementation of the customer screening system through UAT.

• Represent compliance in various ad hoc projects.

• Contribute to the development of bank-wide compliance and AML products, systems, policies, and procedures.

• Maintain relationships with regulators and business units.

• Provide administrative and office support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3-4 years of experience in banking.

• Fundamental knowledge and understanding of local regulatory rules, legislation, and various international requirements.

• Proficient in computer use.

• Strong command of spoken and written English.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Efficient and logical in problem-solving approaches.

• Strong decision-making capabilities.

• Familiarity with banking laws, practices, MB policies, procedures, and systems.

• Multi-jurisdictional regulatory knowledge.

• Understanding of business transactions, initiatives, and relationship requirements.

• Ability to collaborate with Branch Management, Departmental Managers, and other Officers while maintaining independence and professionalism.
