This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve intricate or high-exposure Construction Defect claims within established authority limits.
• Perform thorough coverage analysis and assess liability exposure.
• Negotiate settlements that align with authority limits and organizational goals.
• Offer guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to junior claims staff.
• Work collaboratively with legal counsel, brokers, and insured clients to ensure effective claim resolution.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Prepare and deliver reports on claim status, trends, and risk exposure to management.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in managing complex Construction Defect claims.
• Previous experience in handling complex or high-severity claims is preferred.
• Familiarity with litigation management and settlement negotiation.
• Adjuster license as mandated by jurisdiction.
• Industry certifications such as CPCU or AIC are preferred but not essential.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, coverages, and claims processes.
• Proficient in claims management systems and associated technology tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for assessing complex claim situations.
• Effective negotiation skills with a proven track record of influencing outcomes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
