Complex Care Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver personal care and perform domestic tasks for a gentleman with a spinal cord injury.

• Transport the client to appointments and engage in various activities.

• Assist the client with travel across the UK and internationally.

• Adapt to the client’s work schedule, family commitments, and travel arrangements.

• Provide care in an environment that includes a pet cat and allows vape use.

• Follow a rolling rota consisting of 3 days of work followed by 6 days off, with 24-hour shifts starting at 8am.

⛳️ Requirements

• No prior care experience is necessary.

• A willingness to accompany the client on trips within the UK and internationally.

• Openness to travel and modify shifts to fit the client’s activities.

• Comfort working in an environment with a pet cat and vape use.

• Experience in suprapubic catheter care is a plus.

• Knowledge of bowel management utilizing suppositories is advantageous.

• Familiarity with medication administration is beneficial.

• Experience with mobile hoist transfers and electric wheelchairs is a plus.

• Must be prepared to drive the client to appointments and various activities.
