This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee key compensation initiatives and act as a strategic advisor to internal clients.
• Offer compensation consulting services to the Personal Property-Liability division.
• Enhance compensation governance practices and ensure compensation programs are aligned with the compensation philosophy and performance goals.
• Direct intricate compensation analyses, job evaluations, benchmarking efforts, and strategy projects.
• Collaborate with business leaders and Total Rewards stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and innovative solutions.
• Head job evaluations, benchmarking, market pricing, and competitive analysis.
• Create and present quantitative and qualitative analyses to support business and compensation-related decisions.
• Advise leaders and stakeholders on compensation philosophy, practices, and programs.
• Formulate competitive, cost-effective compensation policies and practices that align with business strategy.
• Persuade large and complex client groups to embrace compensation strategies and recommendations.
• Utilize compensation and market data to guide decision-making processes.
• Spearhead compensation design initiatives for broad-based, sales, specialty, and/or international programs.
• Assist with change management and the implementation of compensation-related initiatives.
• Mentor and provide support to junior team members.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in compensation, including analysis, job evaluation, benchmarking, and market pricing.
• Ability to interpret complex data and convert findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Proven track record of influencing decisions and establishing relationships with business leaders and stakeholders.
• Experience juggling multiple priorities and meeting competing deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated capability to work autonomously, take initiative, and advance projects with minimal guidance.
• Experience in supporting or advising business leaders on compensation-related issues.
• Understanding of compensation programs and practices.
• Experience in presenting compensation insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
• Initiative and a sense of ownership.
• Adaptability and a desire to learn.
• Ability to influence others without direct authority.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in storytelling with data.
• Capability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
• Background investigation is required.
