Compensation Assistant – Federal Work Study

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide overall support and assistance to the designated department

• Engage in special projects that align with stated interests and career objectives

• Assist in a project aimed at reviewing, updating, and standardizing job descriptions across the university

• Gather and organize existing job descriptions

• Evaluate job descriptions for consistency in format, language, and structure

• Revise job descriptions to accurately reflect current duties, responsibilities, and requirements

• Enter job description information into the HRIS system

• Maintain the job description database and related tracking tools

• Collaborate with the Compensation Team, HR Business Partners, and business leaders

• Execute additional duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be an enrolled student at National University who has submitted a current FAFSA

• Ability to work up to 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

• Required experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

• Preferred experience with HRIS systems

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent time management abilities

• Capability to comprehend and follow both written and oral instructions

• Ability to complete projects within specified timelines

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information

• Demonstrated interest in Human Resources, Compensation, or Organizational Design principles and practices

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

• Capability to maintain accurate, consistent, and reliable data across various systems and records

• Foundational understanding of human resources policies, procedures, and applicable regulations

• Must qualify for Federal Work Study through a current FAFSA
