
Companion Animal Territory Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Engage directly with customers to comprehend their needs and provide appropriate consulting on solutions.
• Promote the Animal Health Companion Animal product range to veterinary clinics, shelter facilities, and corporate clients.
• Assist in pull-through initiatives that align with the customer strategy.
• Act as the primary contact for designated customers, establishing connections with key personnel and decision-makers.
• Formulate customer strategies that encompass interactions, relationships, solutions, partners, and offerings to create sales opportunities and foster account growth.
• Create territory and account plans for key clients.
• Collaborate with National Account Managers, the Corporate Account Team, and Distribution Field Partners on significant accounts and corporate-owned clinics.
• Work with species teams to enhance awareness of the Animal Health product portfolio.
• Share insights with regional team members to promote growth and development.
• Evaluate monthly sales performance and oversee expenses within budgetary constraints.
• Identify programs and services to meet customer needs while providing education and training.
• Collaborate with leadership and Field Professional Services to design and deliver relevant customer offerings.
• Stay informed about Animal Health products, industry developments, and competitor activities.
• Communicate customer, industry, product, and market trends throughout the organization.
• Establish and meet learning and development goals in agreement with leadership.
• Cover the South Central New York territory, including Albany, Poughkeepsie, Middletown, and Oneonta.
• High school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, which may include professional sales, distribution, marketing, military service, or experience in veterinary/healthcare/scientific fields; OR a bachelor’s degree with 0–3 years of sales experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to comprehend business objectives and adapt to process changes.
• Capability to understand shifting customer needs and leverage knowledge of customer organization and culture to drive results.
• Proficient in effective selling techniques and approaches.
• Skill to manage multiple customers/accounts at various stages of the sales process.
• Ability to independently identify, develop, and manage accounts within a territory, including complex accounts.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and iPad usage.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to travel overnight and engage in some weekend activities.
• Sales experience and/or experience in the Animal Health Industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with animal health biological and pharmaceutical products is preferred.
• Understanding or previous experience with Distribution is preferred.
• Multilingual fluency, especially in Spanish, is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must reside within the designated territory or within 20 miles of the territory boundary.
• Eligibility for residency in the US and Puerto Rico is required.
