Community Navigator – ATTR-CM, Sickle Cell Disease

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Educate patients and caregivers about ATTR-CM and Sickle Cell Disease, including treatment alternatives, support services, and health and wellness resources.

• Provide continuous disease-state education and awareness customized for each patient community.

• Connect patients with pertinent local, regional, national, and Pfizer resources.

• Distribute efforts between ATTR-CM and SCD, allocating approximately 85% to ATTR-CM and 15% to SCD.

• Engage with underserved communities to promote equitable access to education and resources.

• Collaborate with Key Account Directors, management, and cross-functional partners across two brand teams.

• Establish objectives, manage complex projects, and oversee ongoing activities within the Business Unit.

• Partner with Healthcare Systems, HCPs/Educators, and advocacy partners.

• Act as a subject matter expert and disseminate knowledge throughout the organization.

• Develop solutions for complex issues, advocate for innovation, and implement new ideas, processes, or products.

• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to identify patient needs and customize engagement.

• Provide both in-person and virtual engagement using print and digital resources.

• Collaborate with advocacy and support teams and participate in events to present approved educational materials.

• Refer patients and caregivers to local health and wellness organizations.

• Follow regulations and policies while working with legal and compliance teams.

• Present the Community Navigator role and Pfizer resources at local, regional, and national events.

• Offer local insights to enhance patient engagement materials and support resources.

• Organize travel and materials for events.


⛳️ Requirements

• A B.S. or B.A. degree is required.

• A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry is necessary.

• Experience with ATTR-CM and/or Sickle Cell Disease is preferred.

• Ability to build and maintain comprehensive disease-state and community knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas.

• Effective prioritization skills across multiple concurrent responsibilities.

• Exceptional communication, listening, and presentation abilities.

• Proven capability to work within regulated environments and adhere to compliance standards.

• A history of collaborating broadly with diverse clients and stakeholders.

• Experience in responsible business practices and compassionate communication.

• Proven experience in engaging diverse and underserved patient communities with cultural humility.

• Familiarity with Pfizer and industry compliance guidelines for collaborating with Medical and Access & Reimbursement colleagues.

• Ability to deliver concise, impactful presentations with integrity and empathy.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and business acumen.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including weekends and evenings.

• Clinical background is preferred (RN, APRN, NP, ARNP, ACSW, LCSW, MPH).

• Knowledge of ATTR-CM and/or Sickle Cell Disease and patient/public advocacy.

• Experience engaging with hematology, rare disease, or cardiology patient communities.

• This is a remote/field-based role; preference for candidates residing in the specified geography.

• Bilingual proficiency in certain areas is preferred.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

• This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States.
