Head of Community

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the strategic vision for Up World.

• Develop and sustain strategic plans for 1, 3, and 5 years.

• Drive membership growth through partnerships, referrals, events, content, and various other channels.

• Manage commercial outcomes and oversee the P&L.

• Assess expenditure and pricing strategies, including paid advertising for the Accelerator.

• Supervise the Community & Ops Manager and Big Up Club Lead.

• Identify skill gaps within the team and actively foster personal development.

• Collaborate with founder Lottie as a strategic advisor and sounding board.

• Provide high-level leadership across marketing, community, and commercial strategies.

• Organize events, fireside chats, and meet with individuals in person as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in brand marketing and community engagement, preferably in both areas.

• Background in team leadership.

• Proficient in systems and capable of operationalizing creative brand strategies for a lean team.

• Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to interpret a P&L and provide insights on pricing.

• Skill in aligning everyday tasks with revenue generation.

• Proactive attitude and readiness to make calls, attend events, host fireside chats, and revise materials as needed.

• Confident strategic instincts with the ability to advocate for them.

• A genuine interest in AI and automation for enhancing community operations efficiently.

• Passion for ambitious marketers, start-ups, and innovative brand-building teams.

• A deep interest in start-up marketing with a personal perspective on effective practices.

• Ideally, a pre-existing network of start-up marketers or enthusiasm for establishing one.
