Community & Events Manager – Africa

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and oversee local user-centric online and offline Binance communities.

• Manage regional social media platforms and chat groups to enhance community followers and foster positive interactions.

• Identify community-friendly platforms to promote the growth of local communities.

• Arrange online and offline events and gatherings in the region.

• Develop, translate, and proofread content tailored for the local market.

• Forge partnerships with developer communities, universities, blockchain organizations, KOLs, and Web2/Web3 audiences.

• Implement online and offline developer initiatives, including hackathons, workshops, and conferences, from concept to execution.

• Coordinate between Binance Angels and Binance departments to manage special projects, marketing strategies, campaigns, community AMAs, and communications.

• Support the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers for the Binance Angels program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in marketing.

• Experience in digital marketing planning and execution, ideally within crypto exchanges, fintech, eCommerce, tech, or gaming sectors, with a focus on B2C.

• Previous marketing or growth positions at a Spanish virtual asset exchange are highly preferred.

• Familiarity with cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and the Binance ecosystem.

• Highly organized, capable of effective time management, and comfortable working across different time zones and multiple projects.

• Proficiency in English is essential for collaboration with international partners and stakeholders.

• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with numerous moving components.

• Background in community management and event planning is advantageous.
