This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-channel communication and social media marketing strategy to support the marriage-awareness technical assistance initiative.
• Create, revise, and schedule content for social media platforms, newsletters, websites, fact sheets, talking points, and materials ready for press distribution.
• Convert research insights regarding marriage, family stability, and economic mobility into clear messaging tailored for various audiences, including TANF caseworkers and program beneficiaries.
• Oversee editorial calendars, campaign schedules, and content approval processes in collaboration with the Project Manager and client.
• Monitor and report on engagement metrics and campaign results, utilizing analytics to enhance messaging and targeting strategies.
• Partner with the Graphic Illustrator to ensure consistency between visual and written content, maintaining brand integrity.
• Guarantee that all outward-facing content adheres to Section 508 accessibility standards, plain-language guidelines, and federal review protocols.
• Keep abreast of the family-policy communications landscape and suggest timely, evidence-based outreach initiatives.
• Proven experience in strategic communications and social media marketing, encompassing both paid and organic campaign management as well as analytics.
• Understanding of the TANF program and the demographics it serves, with a focus on appropriately addressing messaging for low-income families.
• Acquaintance with research on the social and economic advantages of marriage, with the ability to convey this information responsibly and without stigma.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities across both digital and print media.
• Expertise in social media management, email marketing, and analytics tools.
• Knowledge of plain-language principles and Section 508 accessibility criteria.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in communications and social media marketing, preferably within health, human services, or family-oriented campaigns.
