This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Strategize, oversee, and execute communications tailored to specific funders.
• Create and manage communications directed at funders that convert engagement strategies into fundraising narratives, messages, and materials.
• Ensure that content aimed at funders is coherent, consistent, aligns with the broader organizational communications strategy, and is customized for distinct audiences.
• Facilitate funder engagement in close collaboration with the Development Team.
• Transform strategies into engaging materials that enhance the organization’s ability to mobilize resources.
• Work in partnership with Development, Program, Monitoring & Learning, and Communications Teams.
• Develop talking points, donor briefs, presentations, annual reports, newsletters, and training materials for staff preparation.
• Convert monitoring and learning insights into funder updates and impactful stories.
• Assist in communications processes, including the review and approval stages.
• Report directly to the Director of Communications.
• Engage in occasional travel, both domestically and internationally.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, with a substantial emphasis on donor or funder interactions.
• Proven experience in crafting fundraising narratives, donor reports, or impact communications within a nonprofit or philanthropic setting.
• Capability to distill complex strategies and technical content into clear, compelling messages for non-specialist audiences.
• Experience collaborating closely with development or fundraising teams, along with an understanding of funder engagement cycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 or C2 level required).
• Experience with organizations focused on climate, environment, land use, or natural resources is a plus.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, adapt to evolving needs, and work efficiently in a remote and international setting.
• Strong dedication to justice and equity initiatives.
