Communications Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Directly engage with journalists to secure coverage in crypto, fintech, payments, technology, and business media.

• Establish and nurture relationships with key journalists in relevant sectors.

• Lead and manage media outreach for announcements, product launches, partnerships, research, and significant milestones.

• Create press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, Q&As, and materials for spokesperson preparation.

• Oversee inbound media inquiries and coordinate executive interviews from start to finish.

• Actively seek and pursue media opportunities that align with company priorities.

• Track and analyze media coverage, industry trends, and competitor activities to guide future campaigns.

• Manage executive thought leadership initiatives across media, conferences, podcasts, and industry events.

• Secure speaking engagements, interviews, and contributed content placements.

• Develop messaging, talking points, briefing documents, and background materials for executives.

• Organize speaker submissions and prepare executives for high-pressure presentations.

• Oversee communications timelines to ensure accurate and timely announcements.

• Lead swift communication responses during significant announcements or industry changes.

• Report to the Communications Lead while collaborating with executives and teams from Product, Partnerships, and Marketing.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, corporate communications, or media relations.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong connections in international business and technology.

• Proven ability to pitch and secure earned media coverage while cultivating journalist relationships.

• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Good judgment regarding when to act independently and when to involve leadership.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.

• Experience in fintech, payments, financial services, infrastructure technology, developer platforms, or crypto is a plus.

• Existing relationships with fintech, payments, technology, or business media are advantageous.

• Background in high-growth startups or scaling technology firms is desirable.

• Experience working with international media and distributed teams is beneficial.
