This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate a sourcing strategy for the designated site/P&L to meet variable cost productivity, cash flow, and controllership objectives.
• Lead or assist in the global selection, qualification, development, and overall management of suppliers.
• Oversee the complete contract life cycle from Request for Proposal through to supplier exit.
• Assess and manage pivot-to-value initiatives in collaboration with Sourcing teams.
• Work closely with Engineering on program timelines, cost optimization, resource allocation analysis, and maximization of VCP.
• Reduce GE's risk exposure by ensuring customer requirements are communicated effectively to suppliers.
• Implement cost reduction initiatives through contract negotiations, process modifications, and sustainable cost management.
• Collaborate with Finance to confirm the impacts of projects and contract negotiations on the general ledger.
• Cultivate technical and market knowledge in the global commodity sector.
• Establish and uphold business policies, enhance procurement processes, and optimize Sourcing resources.
• Discover and execute direct material productivity initiatives alongside Engineering teams.
• Guarantee fulfillment and quality standards in partnership with Engineering, buyers, and sourcing quality engineers.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Commercial teams to ensure regional capacity is met while reducing transportation expenses.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier capabilities and performance.
• Negotiate pricing while ensuring the quality of goods and services remains high.
• Engage with other GE business sourcing teams and take part in company-wide strategic sourcing initiatives.
• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of commercial experience in Sourcing, Sales, Commercial Operations, Engineering, and/or Supply Chain.
• Previous sourcing experience involving negotiation, opportunity identification, supplier selection, sourcing strategy development, and contract implementation.
• Strong quantitative and data analysis abilities.
• Proven project management and process enhancement skills.
• Capability to influence at all organizational levels.
• Experience in process leadership, such as CAP, Work-Out, process improvement, or quality initiatives.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screening, as required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or Engineering; a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
• Previous participation in leadership programs, such as OMLP, FMP, CAS, is preferred.
• CPM or APICS certification is preferred.
• Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training is preferred.
