This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Plan and oversee commissioning for xScale initiatives at large-scale greenfield data centers across various campuses in the Americas.
β’ Develop and execute commissioning plans and schedules that adhere to multi-facility standards.
β’ Evaluate and incorporate leading industry practices into Critical Environment Programs.
β’ Facilitate communication between business operations and construction managers.
β’ Manage the long-term commissioning pipelines regionally for effective resource planning.
β’ Implement commissioning through a structured, stage-gated delivery approach.
β’ Collaborate with internal construction management teams and external general contractors.
β’ Keep detailed commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and project tracking tools.
β’ Contribute to the budgeting process for commissioning projects.
β’ Review procedures for electrical and mechanical Functional Performance Tests and Factory Witness Tests.
β’ Create reports for customers and present updates on commissioning progress and Ready for Sales dates.
β’ Serve as the primary escalation point for customers during the commissioning phase.
β’ Develop commissioning processes, programs, and procedures applicable on a global scale.
β’ Offer continuous improvement feedback to senior management.
β’ Generate internal and external reports on commissioning progress and testing procedures.
β’ Prepare reports that include recommendations for building operations, functional checklists, deficiencies, and equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
β’ Gather data on equipment start-up and testing challenges, reporting them to OFCI equipment vendors.
β’ Oversee internal tools and report on data analytics and metrics.
β’ Establish methodologies for vendor feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
β’ Create project-specific commissioning RFPs and respond to requests for bid clarifications.
β’ Evaluate and recommend commissioning consultant selections.
β’ Lead and manage external resources effectively.
β’ Organize and direct commissioning meetings.
β’ Define key performance indicators for vendors and conduct lessons-learned reviews.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of experience in data center commissioning is preferred.
β’ At least 5 years of leadership experience in a mission-critical environment is preferred.
β’ A Bachelorβs Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
β’ Proven experience with developing commissioning plans and schedules.
β’ Familiarity with critical environment programs is required.
β’ Experience with electrical and mechanical Functional Performance Test procedures and Factory Witness Test procedures is essential.
β’ Background in creating commissioning programs, procedures, reports, schedules, scopes, logs, checklists, and RFPs.
β’ Experience managing relationships with vendors, commissioning consultants, general contractors, and external resources.
β’ Knowledge of project budgets, data analytics, metrics reporting, and vendor KPIs is necessary.
