Commercial Underwriting Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the main contact for insured individuals and lienholders regarding policy-related questions.

• Manage incoming calls and follow-ups, potentially handling calls for the entirety of the shift.

• Deliver customer service while addressing inquiries related to guidelines, procedures, rating, and premium discrepancies.

• Investigate policy information and utilize underwriting authority appropriately.

• Refer risks that exceed designated authority to Commercial Underwriters, Senior Commercial Underwriters, or supervisors/managers.

• Handle a high volume of policy change requests from both internal and external clients.

• Provide assistance with billing, compliance guidelines and procedures, rating inquiries, and related questions.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least one (1) year of experience in Property & Casualty.

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

• An Associate's degree is preferred.

• Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

• Professional and effective telephone communication skills.

• Capability to multitask efficiently.

• Highly organized with outstanding time management abilities.

• Self-motivated to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Proficient computer skills, including typing, spreadsheet management, word processing software, and CRM applications.

• Dependable and reliable in fulfilling responsibilities.
