Commercial Trucking Insurance Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Provide support to a U.S.-based commercial insurance agency specializing in trucking and transportation insurance.

• Manage new business submissions for commercial trucking and transportation accounts.

• Evaluate client information and exposure details to ascertain necessary coverage and underwriting details.

• Complete and submit commercial insurance applications to the relevant carriers.

• Acquire and compare quotes from various carriers.

• Oversee quoting, requoting, and submission follow-ups.

• Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to gather information, clarify requirements, and advance submissions towards binding.

• Handle the renewal processes from initial preparation to completion.

• Examine expiring policies and identify changes in vehicles, drivers, operations, locations, coverage, and other exposures.

• Prepare renewal submissions and secure updated quotes.

• Monitor renewal deadlines and ensure timely processing of accounts.

• Manage endorsements, policy adjustments, vehicle additions and removals, driver updates, cancellations, reinstatements, and other service requests.

• Issue and update Certificates of Insurance (COIs).

• Maintain accurate and current policy and client information.

• Work with trucking-specific exposures, including commercial vehicles, drivers, motor carrier operations, and transportation-related risks.

• Gather and review documentation and underwriting information for trucking submissions and renewals.

• Identify missing or inconsistent information and proactively follow up.

• Submit applications, endorsements, and service requests through carrier portals.

• Keep precise client and policy records in agency management systems.

• Coordinate with carriers, underwriters, and internal agency team members to resolve issues and ensure account progress.

• Maintain organized documentation and follow-up records for active accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in commercial lines insurance, specifically with trucking or transportation insurance.

• Proven experience working on new business quotes, renewals, and policy servicing for trucking accounts.

• Knowledge of commercial trucking insurance workflows, documentation, and underwriting requirements.

• Experience in preparing commercial insurance submissions and securing quotes.

• Familiarity with processing endorsements, policy changes, cancellations, and renewals.

• Experience in issuing Certificates of Insurance (COIs).

• Strong grasp of commercial policy documentation and account servicing.

• Practical experience with insurance management systems and rating platforms.

• Experience with Applied Epic, EZLynx, PL Rater, or similar platforms is highly preferred.

• Skilled in navigating U.S. insurance carrier portals and electronically submitting applications.

• Experience with U.S. commercial insurance carriers and effective communication with carrier representatives or underwriters.

• Familiarity with carriers that cater to commercial trucking and transportation accounts is highly preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

• Capacity to manage multiple accounts and adhere to renewal deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proactive approach to follow-ups and outstanding requirements.

• Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with an agency team.

• Specific experience in supporting commercial trucking, transportation, or motor carrier insurance accounts.

• Experience overseeing trucking insurance from submission through binding and servicing.

• Familiarity with trucking-specific coverage and documentation.

• Experience directly engaging with U.S.-based insurance agencies.

• Experience with multiple commercial insurance carriers and agent portals.

• Proven ability to manage a high volume of commercial accounts and time-sensitive requests.
