This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.
• Oversee intricate accounts across various locations and functions.
• Sustain and enhance sales within a designated territory of existing color, additive, and masterbatch accounts.
• Cultivate extensive relationships with purchasing, production, R&D, and quality departments.
• Increase current share of wallet and mitigate year-over-year attrition.
• Perform quarterly business reviews that encompass revenue, quality, product development, delivery, and other key metrics.
• Collaborate with Technical Service and R&D teams to suggest materials, resolve technical issues, formulate new materials, and handle complaints.
• Establish a routine for customer and business meetings.
• Allocate 30–60% of time to identify and nurture new business opportunities.
• Conduct market research and analyze competitors.
• Spot opportunities to showcase, participate, and network at industry trade shows.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from identifying customers to commercialization.
• Formulate and implement territory plans to meet sales objectives.
• Keep precise Salesforce records of interactions, quotes, opportunities, and business closures.
• Provide monthly sales forecasts, call reports, and market insights to leadership.
• Assess territory performance and adapt strategies to achieve budget goals.
• Work together with regional teams and leadership to foster growth.
• Utilize technical service, scheduling/planning, purchasing, and customer service teams.
• Communicate market feedback and customer sentiments to internal teams.
• Stay updated on masterbatch and plastics industry knowledge, trends, techniques, regulations, and requirements.
• Conduct regular in-person visits to customers throughout the territory.
• 5 years of experience in Plastics and Resin.
• Proven experience managing highly complex accounts with multiple locations and functions.
• Familiarity with color, additive, and masterbatch accounts and their applications.
• Understanding of masterbatch formulations, performance and sustainability trends, processing techniques, and customer applications.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and customer requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
• Capability to plan travel at least 3 weeks in advance.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.
• Competence in conducting market research and competitor analysis.
