This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute application engineering for the Power Conversion Marine Services solutions portfolio.
• Spearhead the creation of technical solutions to support sales initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales managers and/or business development teams to formulate competitive technical value propositions that address customer challenges.
• Guide engineering and project teams in creating technical proposals and cost estimates for service solutions.
• Oversee solution development for propulsion, power management, controls and automation, dynamic positioning, and asset performance monitoring.
• Manage GE commercial technical risk procedures and all facets of the Inquiry to Order process.
• Partner with sourcing to cultivate third-party industrial and technology partnerships.
• Assist in customer meetings and showcase the differentiation of technical solutions.
• Enhance technical solutions and improve profit margins.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics) or a comparable technical qualification.
• At least 8 years of technical experience in Controls & Automation, Power Electronics, Power Management, and Generation.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering maritime technical solutions, including those for the Offshore segment, Merchant segment, United States Navy, and United States Coast Guard.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Direct engineering experience with large, complex systems in Marine Electric Propulsion and/or Electrical Power Management and Distribution.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical solutions, including automation, low- and medium-voltage motors, and variable speed drives.
• Familiarity with commercial, technical, and project management principles.
• Understanding of customer financial drivers, CAPEX, and OPEX.
• Proficiency in analytical software and sales tools, such as CMS and Excel.
• Previous technical sales experience is preferred.
• A graduate degree in Engineering is desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong coordination and influencing capabilities.
• Customer-centric attitude with a proven track record of responding promptly to customer needs.
