This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provide support for intricate commercial litigation cases from the initial evaluation to resolution.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, contracts, agreements, and various other critical legal documents.
• Analyze contracts, agreements, and case materials to pinpoint facts, issues, risks, and necessary follow-ups.
• Perform legal and factual research that underpins litigation strategies, filings, and legal projects.
• Aid in the preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Oversee the discovery process involving extensive document volumes, deadlines, productions, and follow-up tasks.
• Gather, examine, organize, and prepare documents for production.
• Maintain discovery trackers while managing deadlines and outstanding requests.
• Recognize missing information, inconsistencies, and deficiencies that require follow-up.
• Coordinate the collection of documents and discovery responses with internal teams and external counsel.
• Assist with commercial contracts, corporate/entity matters, governance documentation, and real estate legal issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys, outside counsel, internal stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate priorities, deadlines, risks, and action items effectively.
• Keep organized legal files, case materials, contracts, and supporting documents.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical paralegal experience, ideally in complex commercial or business litigation.
• Proven experience in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, contracts, and other substantial legal documents.
• Strong background in discovery, including document review, productions, deadlines, and follow-up tasks.
• Capability to review agreements, identify legal issues, and determine subsequent actions.
• Excellent legal research, writing, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Texas state and federal litigation preferred as an advantage.
• Experience in real estate litigation, transactions, or property-related legal matters preferred as a bonus.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
