Commercial Lines Certificate Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Comprehend contractual language and request specific AI endorsements

• Follow up with the underwriting team

• Liaise with clients and/or Client Managers regarding changes to endorsements

• Assist one or more Client Managers or Client Executives with an assigned portfolio or team

• Issue proofs of insurance as needed

• Collect documentation for new and renewal marketing efforts, including prior policies, loss runs, and motor vehicle reports

• Input data necessary for generating quotes into various carrier systems

• Create summaries of insurance for renewals or mid-term assessments

• Process and request endorsement transactions with carriers and record these transactions in the management system

• Review binders, policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy before delivering them to clients

• Provide clients with invoices and statements, and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely payments

• Enter claims data into the management system and send it to the carrier as necessary

• Review and provide premium audits to clients

• Support the team with other tasks as required

• Maintain files and communication records in accordance with company policy and Department of Insurance professional standards

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients and internal stakeholders

• Comply with C3’s Quality Management Program standards

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of industry experience demonstrating increased responsibility related to the tasks outlined above

• Solid understanding of insurance terminology, the general role of an insurance broker, and various lines of Business Insurance

• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license

• Currently possess or be in the process of obtaining an insurance designation

• Eagerness to pursue advanced insurance designations and ongoing education

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Capability to prioritize tasks, set and achieve objectives, think critically to solve problems, and present results clearly and precisely in both verbal and written formats

• Strong attention to detail

• Experience with Applied Epic preferred

• Experience in supporting Construction risks in California preferred

• Ability to operate a keyboard and other office equipment
