Commercial Finance Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Serve as a reliable financial advisor to leaders within business units.

• Formulate and assist in the strategic plans for designated business units.

• Assess investment opportunities and operational choices utilizing commercial insight, data, and analysis.

• Counsel the CFO, COO, and Executive Leadership Team on financial and business strategies.

• Collaborate with operational teams to produce precise financial forecasts.

• Employ data analysis and financial modeling to discover trends, risks, and opportunities across client accounts.

• Aid in profit enhancement initiatives and monitor performance metrics.

• Advance analytical tools and methods, including modern analytics platforms and AI-driven approaches.

• Manage monthly internal management reporting for business units and client accounts.

• Provide reports on revenue, volume, profitability, savings, working capital, cash generation, KPIs, risks, opportunities, trends, and variances.

• Develop and uphold KPI frameworks.

• Produce external financial reports for clients and share performance insights during review meetings.

• Conduct financial analyses for contract negotiations, renewals, and commercial terms.

• Collaborate with Legal and Commercial teams regarding financial implications in agreements.

• Communicate financial performance and insights directly to clients.

• Create an efficient Finance operating rhythm and structured processes.

• Foster continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting, and financial processes.

• Lead, mentor, and guide Finance team members.

• Advocate for data-driven decision-making, ongoing improvement, and professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial finance.

• Proficient in advanced Excel and AI technologies.

• Strong capabilities in data manipulation.

• Experience with Power BI or similar tools is preferred.

• Ability to analyze intricate datasets and convert findings into actionable business insights.

• Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
