This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Provide effective, efficient, and timely services to a diverse clientele within a designated geographic area.
• Utilize a company van to travel to various customer locations for the maintenance of commercial properties.
• Execute preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Engage in face-to-face interactions with customers to fulfill client needs.
• Utilize a range of trade skills, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, and HVAC.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and repairs as per work orders.
• Conduct minor plumbing maintenance tasks, including unclogging toilets and drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
• Carry out routine painting and carpentry work to keep facilities in excellent condition.
• Handle minor electrical maintenance within state-law licensing limitations.
• Perform service and asset inspections.
• Utilize tablets and smartphones to access and complete work orders, create service reports, submit inspection images and reports, as well as manage timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
• Acquire materials and supplies necessary for job tasks.
• Foster positive client relationships and maintain communication with customers and internal support teams.
• Participate in mandatory safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings.
• Provide estimates for larger projects and services to on-site customers.
• Conduct daily repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance as assigned.
• High School diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care is preferred.
• Two (2) to Five (5) years of mechanical experience, encompassing electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work required; or a comparable combination of training, education, and experience.
• Relevant work experience in one or more building trades.
• Previous experience in landscape, janitorial, or construction-related service industries is highly preferred.
• Must hold applicable certifications and licenses.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals.
• Capability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Proficient in effectively presenting information in individual and small group settings.
• Ability to complete assigned work orders promptly and communicate work order status effectively.
• Competence in operating handheld devices and business systems or document management database software, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
• Compliance with relevant codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and Company policies concerning building operations and work safety.
• Sufficient knowledge of OSHA standards and Company safety protocols.
• Experience in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building mechanical systems, inclusive of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Daily local travel between properties required.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Capability to drive a company vehicle on a daily basis.
• Ability to utilize required safety equipment and adhere to OSHA lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines.
• Ability to manage stressful situations and maintain composure in front of customers.
