
Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide effective, efficient, and timely facilities maintenance services to a diverse client base within a designated geographic area.
• Travel to various customer locations in a company van to maintain commercial properties.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Carry out minor plumbing tasks, such as unclogging toilets and drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
• Handle routine painting and carpentry tasks to uphold client facilities.
• Execute minor electrical maintenance tasks permitted under state law without a license.
• Complete service and asset inspections.
• Access and finalize work orders using tablets and smartphones, including service notes.
• Create and submit service reports along with quality inspection images and documents.
• Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
• Procure materials and supplies necessary for tasks.
• Foster customer relationships and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal support teams.
• Complete mandatory safety and compliance training and participate in weekly safety meetings.
• Provide estimates for larger projects and necessary onsite services.
• Perform assigned daily repairs, emergency maintenance, preventive maintenance, and other duties as required.
• High school diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care is preferred.
• Two (2) to Five (5) years of mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, is required; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Relevant work experience in one or more building trades.
• Applicable certifications and licenses.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Capability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and procedural manuals.
• Proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to present information effectively in individual and small group settings.
• Capability to complete assigned work orders promptly and communicate their status.
• Proficient in using handheld devices and business systems or document management software.
• Competence in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Adherence to building codes, regulations, governmental agency guidelines, and Company directives.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and Company safety policies.
• Experience in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Willingness to travel locally between properties on a daily basis.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle daily.
• Capacity to manage stressful situations and remain composed in front of customers.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
