This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Provide efficient, effective, and timely facility services to a variety of customers within a designated geographic area.
• Utilize a company van to travel to different customer locations for the maintenance of commercial properties.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Execute minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems.
• Carry out routine painting and carpentry tasks to ensure client facilities remain in good condition.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance as allowed by state regulations.
• Complete service inspections and asset evaluations.
• Access and fulfill work orders using tablets and smartphones, including documenting service notes.
• Generate and submit service reports alongside quality inspection images and documentation.
• Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
• Acquire materials and supplies necessary for assigned tasks.
• Foster positive customer relationships and maintain communication with customers and internal support teams.
• Complete all required safety and compliance training and participate in weekly safety meetings.
• Provide estimates for larger projects and services requested by onsite customers.
• Carry out assigned responsibilities as needed.
• High school diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care is preferred.
• Two (2) to Five (5) years of mechanical experience, which includes electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Relevant work experience in one or more of the building trades.
• Possession of applicable certifications and licenses.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Capability to read and understand instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Capacity to effectively present information in both individual and small group settings.
• Skill in completing assigned work orders promptly and communicating work order status through the designated business process.
• Proficiency in using handheld devices and business systems or document management database software, including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Word, and Excel.
• Compliance with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives concerning building operations and work safety.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and Company safety policies.
• Experience in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Willingness to travel locally between properties on a daily basis.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Capability to drive a company vehicle daily.
• Ability to use necessary safety equipment, including steel toe shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, eye protection, and hand protection.
