
Commercial Estimator β Business Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines, +5 more countries.
β’ Identify and actively pursue commercial fencing, gate, and railing projects through bid platforms, general contractor plan rooms, and public procurement websites.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with general contractors, developers, property managers, and municipal purchasers.
β’ Analyze architectural and civil drawings to determine project scope and requirements.
β’ Conduct material takeoffs for linear footage, gates, posts, railing systems, and other related materials.
β’ Create preliminary estimates utilizing PlanSwift, Bluebeam, STACK, Excel, or similar estimating tools.
β’ Evaluate opportunities based on scope, location, timeline, and budget viability.
β’ Develop and maintain an organized pipeline of commercial clients and active opportunities.
β’ Consistently follow up on bids, proposals, pending decisions, and awarded contracts.
β’ Monitor submitted, pending, won, and lost bids while keeping accurate CRM records.
β’ Prepare precise estimating data and transitions for sales leadership to finalize pricing.
β’ Discover and qualify new commercial construction opportunities.
β’ Interpret architectural and civil plans effectively.
β’ Generate accurate takeoffs and initial estimates within required deadlines.
β’ Proactively follow up with general contractors, developers, procurement teams, and other commercial prospects.
β’ Ensure active opportunities progress with clear next steps and follow-up timelines.
β’ Balance estimating tasks with proactive business development efforts.
β’ Communicate effectively with U.S.-based contractors and commercial clients.
β’ Uphold accurate reviews of plans, quantities, specifications, and project documentation.
β’ Manage the commercial pipeline from opportunity identification through estimating and follow-up.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, bidding, or a closely related role in the construction industry.
β’ Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural and/or civil blueprints.
β’ Experience in performing construction takeoffs and developing preliminary estimates.
β’ Familiarity with PlanSwift, Bluebeam, STACK, or similar takeoff/estimating software.
β’ Comfortable with cold outreach, prospecting, and consistent follow-up communications.
β’ Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
β’ Experience managing bids, prospects, and follow-ups using a CRM or similar tracking system.
β’ Ability to balance client-facing business development with detailed estimating tasks.
β’ Submission of an introductory video is required as part of the hiring process.
β’ A professional home office setup and reliable internet connection are necessary.
β’ $1,250 USD/month for the initial 90 days, increasing to $1,500 USD/month thereafter.
