Commercial Energy Efficiency, HVAC Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, RTUs, VRF systems, controls, and building automation.

• Assess commercial boilers, high-efficiency boiler upgrades, and domestic hot water systems/tanks.

• Identify energy-saving opportunities and propose equipment replacements, retrofits, and system enhancements.

• Analyze energy savings, payback periods, ROI, lifecycle costs, and available incentives.

• Apply utility rebate and government energy-efficiency program requirements.

• Review proposed projects and equipment to ensure technical and program compliance.

• Examine technical documentation, equipment specifications, and project proposals.

• Prepare project documentation and reports for energy-efficiency programs and incentives.

• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

• Perform additional duties related to the position as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient level of English (both written and spoken).

• 3–5 years of experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical engineering/consulting, energy auditing, energy efficiency, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.

• Experience with commercial boilers and high-efficiency boiler upgrades.

• Familiarity with domestic hot water systems/tanks.

• Ability to interpret mechanical plans and technical specifications.

• Strong skills in Excel, analysis, and reporting.

• Knowledge of utility rebates and government energy-efficiency incentive programs.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Familiarity with standard business tools (email, spreadsheets, document management).

• Capability to quickly learn new systems, software, and workflows.

• Ability to follow established processes accurately with minimal supervision.

• Availability to work U.S. EST (New York) business hours and adapt to business needs.

• Reliable Windows 10+ computer, dual monitors, and high-speed internet connection.
