Commercial Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Review, redline, and negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), service contracts, order forms, Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).

• Manage contracts with clubs, leagues, federations, broadcasters, and brands across various countries.

• Provide the Sales team with quick contract turnarounds, practical alternatives, and sound commercial judgment.

• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, RevOps, and Customer Success to ensure contract terms align with pricing, booking, and delivery.

• Oversee a portion of vendor and partner agreements in conjunction with the General Counsel.

• Utilize AI for drafting contracts, conducting initial reviews, and summarizing counterparty terms.

• Implement and enhance the legal playbook based on negotiation insights.

• Assist with customer security, privacy matters, vendor due diligence questionnaires, DPAs, and issues related to international transfers.

• Act as the primary counsel for commercial contracts and the key partner for Sales across both sides of the Atlantic.

• Engage in sales discussions with senior representatives from major sports organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience, predominantly in-house, with a primary focus on commercial contracts.

• In-depth understanding of commercial contracts.

• Capability to work independently on MSAs and customer revisions, offering a position, fallback options, and recommendations.

• Ability to act swiftly and make decisions with 80% confidence.

• Resourcefulness in investigating and resolving ambiguous issues.

• Responsiveness and availability to assist the Sales team.

• Experience with AI in legal work or a strong interest in its adoption.
