Commercial Auto Bodily Injury Adjuster – Casualty Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough investigations of commercial auto bodily injury claims.

• Collect recorded statements and assess coverage and liability.

• Manage claim reserves in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Maintain well-organized and professional claim files, reports, and communications.

• Negotiate settlements strategically to ensure fair and timely resolutions.

• Stay updated with changing legal statutes, policy conditions, and industry developments.

• Utilize a paperless Claims Management System for operations.

• Engage in legal processes, including depositions, mediations, and trials.

• Act as a primary contact for agents, policyholders, and legal associates.

• Provide responsive, high-quality service throughout the entire claims lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in handling Commercial Automobile or Motor Carrier Liability claims, including litigation experience.

• Strong skills in negotiation, analysis, and problem-solving.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.

• Capability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

• Experience in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.

• Strong collaboration skills with legal counsel and claims teams.

• Multi-State adjusting experience is preferred.

• Insurance education and/or designations are advantageous.

• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Good keyboarding and technological proficiency.

• Willingness and ability to travel as required for depositions, mediations, trials, and meetings.
