This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more states.
• Provide technical sales support to meet revenue and margin goals.
• Engage with clients from executive leadership to laboratory teams to identify solutions and assess their value.
• Assist in the creation of proposals, including value propositions and return-on-investment presentations.
• Create implementation and project plans that align with client operations, facilities, and timelines.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to coordinate technical methods, resources, and projects throughout the sales process.
• Identify, clarify, and communicate client requirements to the LGC team.
• Determine solution options that meet client needs.
• Identify and test laboratory client assays within the LGC solution framework.
• Lead and manage solution engineering with support from the broader LGC team.
• Evaluate and recommend external third-party products or services as required.
• Prepare implementation plans and brief service and science personnel on customer requirements prior to shipment and installation.
• Coordinate with Account Management, Science, Service, and Engineering to ensure solutions align with product plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, laboratory technologies, scientific applications, client operations, processes, and competitive offerings.
• Represent LGC at briefings, meetings, and trade events.
• Support customers and sales opportunities primarily in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as other regions as necessary.
• Respond adaptively to internal and external business needs and address corporate initiatives as requested.
• Ph.D. in biosciences or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of market-facing experience in a laboratory setting.
• Proven knowledge of laboratory processes.
• Advanced expertise in genotyping, chemistry, oligonucleotides, and NGS.
• Extensive scientific understanding of IVD, biopharmaceutical, and biotechnology workflows and tools.
• Prior experience in technical sales support and relationship management.
• Proficient in computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Multilingualism is preferred.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom, Germany, or Denmark.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, telephone, executive, and technical communications.
