Collections Specialist, Project Based – 3 Months

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Assist in the collections process by addressing client payment issues and safeguarding the organization's financial assets.

• Achieve designated collections quotas and objectives by consistently following up on outstanding accounts and ensuring timely payments.

• Review documentation and filings.

• Analyze credit histories and reports.

• Gather and process data on current and potential customers.

• Handle credit applications.

• Adhere to relevant organizational and compliance guidelines related to credit and collections processes.

• Engage with clients on a daily basis and provide administrative and research assistance for collections activities.

• Collaborate regularly with the finance team, clients, and other departments as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of applicable experience in collections, accounts receivable, credit, billing, or a similar field.

• Demonstrated capability to meet assigned collections quotas and performance goals.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities, with the capacity to professionally address payment issues and handle difficult discussions.

• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.

• Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to oversee multiple accounts in a dynamic environment.

• Proactive and responsible, with a strong emphasis on resolving outstanding accounts and meeting collection objectives.

• Ability to adhere to established credit, collections, compliance, and documentation protocols.

• Candidates must be available for the entire 3-month contract duration.

• Candidates should possess the necessary equipment (laptop, headset, etc.).

• Ability to work in the Eastern/Central Timezone.
