Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Reach out to delinquent clients based in the US to address overdue balances and ensure prompt payment resolution.

• Negotiate terms for payment plans.

• Record customer interactions, commitments, payment arrangements, and account activities.

• Investigate and address inquiries related to customer contracts, billing, and payments.

• Implement collection strategies that adhere to company policies and financial goals.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account-related issues and establish preventive measures.

• Communicate account-level risks and insights to management effectively.

• Create and evaluate collections reports to assess performance trends and progress toward targets.

• Work alongside team members to achieve both individual and departmental performance goals.

• Conduct both inbound and outbound calls with US-based clients in English.

• Handle competing priorities through multitasking and time-blocking strategies in accordance with US time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Collections Specialist or in a comparable role.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

• Strong command of written and spoken English is crucial for customer interactions with US clients.

• Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities.

• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

• Capability to maintain a schedule that aligns with US Central or Eastern business hours.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team setting.

• Proficient in utilizing collection software.

• Experience with Salesforce, HighRadius, and WorkDay Financials is a plus.

• A reliable high-speed internet connection is mandatory.

• A minimum of 6 hours of overlap with US business hours is required.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico.
