This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Initiate calls to collect payments on commercial, Federal, and patient accounts.

• Ensure receipt of payment for services provided.

• Analyze trends with insurance providers.

• Inform colleagues about trends related to insurance carriers.

• Keep meticulous collection and billing records.

• Record all activities in Specialty Pharmacy Business Operating, Electronic Document Management Systems, and the monthly Accounts Receivable spreadsheet.

• Engage in daily follow-ups and manage the follow-up report, ensuring no more than a one-week delay from the assigned date.

• Seek reimbursement for designated payors/accounts and document results in the electronic medical records system.

• Support collection efforts as instructed by the Team Manager.

• Process correspondence from assigned payors within one week of receipt.

• Adhere to established productivity standards.

• Keep the aging status for accounts over 120 days at or below departmental benchmarks.

• Collaborate with billing personnel and administrative assistants to timely and accurately submit corrected claims and necessary documentation.

• Contribute to reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and enhancing collections.

• Re-verify patient insurance coverage as required or directed.

• Provide training to other collectors as needed.

• Assist with additional projects as assigned by the Team Manager.

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Experience in collections within a Home Infusion setting.

• Strong knowledge of various types of insurance plans.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Self-driven and motivated worker.
