Revenue Specialist I, Collections

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Manage patient insurance details throughout the patient intake process

• Collect payments for any outstanding balances owed by patients

• Address credits arising from overpayments by payers and issue refunds accordingly

• Execute revenue operations tasks related to medical insurance collections, credits, or patient insurance coverage

• Liaise with insurance payers to guarantee appropriate coverage and ensure timely, accurate reimbursement for dialysis services

• Respond promptly and accurately to communications from payers

• Collaborate with revenue operations teams to facilitate smooth processes

• Partner with insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and continuous improvement

• Keep patient account information up to date

• Uphold the confidentiality of company and patient information in compliance with HIPAA and DaVita policies

• Participate in team meetings, phone conferences, and training as necessary

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Basic computer proficiency

• Competence in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Previous experience in healthcare is not required

• Ability to accommodate Pacific Standard Time hours

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to adapt swiftly and demonstrate resilience

• Capability to take ownership of a book of business and manage a queue effectively

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies

• Willingness to work overtime when necessary

• Availability to attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training sessions as required
