This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive collections and accounts receivable process, managing everything from daily recovery efforts to strategic initiatives across customer and merchant segments.
• Lead and mentor a team of collections analysts and specialists, establishing objectives and monitoring key performance indicators such as aging, recovery rates, and service levels.
• Manage essential collections operations, which include TSYS balance holds, ACH return reporting, monthly write-offs, and collections journal entries.
• Assess delinquency trends to enhance forecasting, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
• Act as the escalation point for challenging recoveries and collaborate with Disputes and Underwriting on shared account risk.
• Document collections procedures and implement safeguards against errors, losses, and financial risks in compliance with SOC 1 and SOX controls.
• Leverage AI tools to automate communications, triage cases, and uncover patterns in delinquency data.
• Collaborate across Finance, Risk, Sales, Operations, and Engineering, representing collections in cross-functional risk evaluations.
• Over 5 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or similar fintech or accounting roles, including managing substantial receivables.
• Proven experience in leading or mentoring a team.
• Strong understanding of collections processes, billing platforms, and financial compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems such as Salesforce and Workday.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to manage relationships and expectations across various teams.
• Practical experience utilizing AI tools to automate or enhance workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and technologies to optimize workflows, improve decision-making, or drive innovation.
