This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review and collect on allocated delinquent accounts in compliance with relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Reach out to delinquent members through telephone, mail, and electronic communications.
• Manage inbound calls from members, including timely return of voicemails.
• Assess member needs by analyzing individual loan data to identify potential causes for delinquency and collection capacity.
• Negotiate payment plans to restore accounts to current status.
• Monitor and follow up on commitments to pay and established payment plans.
• Keep precise and thorough records of communications related to member accounts.
• Perform skip tracing on delinquent loan accounts to acquire updated phone numbers and addresses.
• Send required notices to members at appropriate intervals.
• Assist members with processing payments over the phone and modifying or adjusting automatic payments.
• Evaluate accounts for deferment eligibility and execute deferments.
• Adjust late fees and minor balances in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Deliver outstanding service regarding general loan inquiries.
• Research, analyze, and address member payment history or FPI inquiries.
• Collaborate as a team to achieve departmental objectives for delinquency and abandonment rates.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience in handling challenging customer service scenarios and providing resolutions in a professional and tactful manner is required.
• Exceptional verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Capability to remain assertive and confident when managing difficult situations.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
• Proficient computer skills with the capacity to navigate various system applications and software programs.
• Proven ability to be organized, analytical, and resilient.
