This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate Mento training initiatives alongside the Head of Coaching and independently as expertise grows.
• Conduct and compile training sessions and quality assessments.
• Recognize individual development requirements and trends within the coaching community.
• Foster continuous coach development through practice, constructive feedback, mentor coaching, and programming.
• Assist coaches in aligning with Mento’s collective standards while honoring their unique experiences, perspectives, and styles.
• Transform recurring developmental needs into scalable tools, resources, and learning opportunities.
• Interview and evaluate potential Mento coaches in accordance with Mento’s coaching standards.
• Identify quality and performance trends and convert them into developmental insights.
• Codify effective coaching practices to enhance selection and assessment frameworks.
• Collaborate with the Head of Coaching to advance coach training programs for scalability.
• Develop and refine systems, materials, and experiences for expansive training.
• Expand training capacity while maintaining rigor and quality standards.
• Create a repeatable Train-the-Trainer manual.
• Enhance Mento’s coach-development framework throughout the coaching lifecycle.
• Design a first-year development pathway incorporating ongoing practice, feedback, programming, and growth.
• Aid in the development of an integrated ICF coach-specific training program.
• Support Mento’s ICF accreditation requirements and the evolution of accredited training.
• Capture and systematize methodology, judgment, and practices for recruiting, training, assessing, and developing coaches.
• Transform repeatable practices into frameworks, tools, manuals, and learning experiences.
• Differentiate expert human judgment from teachable, systematic, automatable, or asynchronous tasks.
• Test and refine systems to boost efficiency without compromising quality.
• Shape and manage coach programming and community engagement.
• Translate partner context into practical guidance for coaches.
• Stay attuned to coaches’ experiences and identify patterns, needs, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Coaching, Operations, and cross-functional teams.
• Active ICF PCC credential.
• 10+ years of professional experience, including substantial coaching experience.
• Experience in training, developing, supervising, or mentor coaching other coaches.
• Strong facilitation skills with both small and larger audiences.
• Experience in a startup, technology company, or similarly dynamic environment.
• Strong discernment regarding excellent coaching and the ability to articulate rationale.
• Ability to differentiate between individual coaching styles and overall coaching quality.
• Proficiency in providing clear, specific developmental feedback to seasoned professionals.
• Capacity to identify trends across coaching interactions and developmental requirements.
• Ability to understand, document, simplify, and scale effective practices.
• Skill in recognizing where human judgment is beneficial and where technology, processes, or asynchronous learning can be employed.
• Comfort in building systems during their developmental phase.
• Warm, direct, and highly relational approach that fosters trust with experienced coaches.
