This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Contribute to the advancement and optimization of mechanistic Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) models that support drug discovery and development initiatives.
• Investigate and assess AI and machine learning techniques to improve and expedite QSP modeling processes.
• Conduct Model-Based Meta-Analyses (MBMA) to produce quantitative insights that guide portfolio strategies and drug development choices.
• Analyze, combine, and interpret preclinical and clinical data to support model creation and decision-making.
• Acquire and apply industry-standard data management and modeling protocols.
• Prepare internal updates on project progress regularly.
• Create external posters and manuscripts for publication when appropriate.
• Assist with additional tasks related to the Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics team as required.
• A strong enthusiasm for Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP), mechanistic modeling, and model-informed drug development.
• Experience in developing or utilizing mathematical, computational, or systems biology models to tackle intricate biological issues.
• Interest in employing AI/ML techniques to enhance modeling workflows, integrate data, and support scientific decision-making.
• Proficiency in R, Python, MATLAB, or comparable scientific computing platforms.
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting biological, preclinical, clinical, omics, or literature-derived datasets.
• Familiarity with meta-analysis, model-based assessments, evidence synthesis, or other related quantitative methodologies.
• Strong skills in quantitative reasoning, scientific problem-solving, and critical thinking.
• Proven capability to independently acquire and implement new computational, analytical, and modeling techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for presenting complex scientific ideas clearly.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary research setting.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• At least 18 years old by the anticipated start date.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, university, or skills program/apprenticeship.
• Ph.D. candidate (in their 3rd year or beyond) with expertise in quantitative, computational, or mechanistic modeling.
• Candidates holding a Master’s degree or Pharm.D. with proven experience in modeling, data analysis, or computational biology will also be considered.
