CNC Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Travel to client locations for the installation, repair, maintenance, and servicing of machine tool equipment and controls.

• Utilize online technical documentation, manuals, and vendor resources to troubleshoot machine-related issues.

• Accurately complete and submit documentation regarding machine issues, repairs, and installations to both the office and customers.

• Actively promote and perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.

• Provide after-sales technical support and training as needed.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the machine tool industry and the company’s product offerings.

• Carry out related tasks as assigned.

• Report directly to the Service Manager.

• Begin each day by dispatching from home to various customer sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems.

• Proven experience in mechanical/electrical repair or engineering is preferred.

• Background in CNC repairs is advantageous.

• Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics is essential.

• Experience with Microsoft Office or similar software is a plus.

• Proficient in using laptops, smartphones, and various software applications.

• Excellent technical, communication, and presentation abilities.

• Capacity to regularly lift between 40 and 50 pounds.

• Willingness to work flexible hours with frequent travel and driving across a regional territory.

• Ability to access all areas of customer premises.

• Capability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, and frequently use hands and arms.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods.

• Competence to work in confined spaces or awkward positions and access equipment interiors and elevated areas.

• Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

• Ability to function in industrial environments with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Capacity to work responsibly and professionally in dynamic job sites.
