This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Travel to client locations to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
• Utilize online technical documents, manuals, and vendor resources to investigate machine-related issues.
• Accurately complete and submit documentation to both the office and customers regarding machine problems, repairs, and installations.
• Advocate for and conduct preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.
• Provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of the machine tool industry and the product lines represented by the company.
• Perform related duties as necessary.
• Report directly to the Service Manager.
• Commute daily from home to customer locations throughout a designated regional area.
• Proven experience in mechanical or electrical repair or engineering is preferred.
• Background in CNC repair is advantageous.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and schematics is essential.
• Familiarity with software applications, such as Microsoft Office, is a plus.
• Must be proficient in using a laptop, smartphone, and various software tools.
• Exceptional technical, communication, and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to regularly lift weights between 40–50 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible hours with frequent travel and driving across a regional territory.
• Must be highly mobile and capable of accessing all areas of various premises.
• Strong focus and concentration skills while managing multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects.
• Capability to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, and lift moderate to heavyweight materials up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or colleagues.
• Frequent use of hands and arms is necessary.
• Vision capabilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are required.
• Must be able to work responsibly and professionally in dynamic job sites with tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and customer/team interactions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment.
• Capacity to work in confined spaces or awkward positions, including accessing the interiors of equipment and elevated areas.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills are vital for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic tasks.
• Must be able to work in industrial environments with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
