This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, test, and sustain scalable, resilient, and secure software tools and microservices tailored for a cloud-native environment.
• Play a key role in the architecture of software subsystems, advocating for code reuse and compliance with established technical standards.
• Develop and integrate bespoke APIs, including those that provide AI/ML model outputs for enterprise applications.
• Deploy and oversee cloud-native infrastructure, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Assist in the establishment and upkeep of CI/CD pipelines for the automated building, testing, and deployment of software.
• Implement application monitoring, logging, and alerting through Google Cloud's operations suite to ensure optimal system health and performance.
• Collaborate with security teams to conduct regular security patching, address vulnerabilities, and apply secure coding best practices.
• Engage in code reviews to uphold high code quality and disseminate knowledge within the team.
• Keep clear and thorough technical documentation for the software developed.
• Work alongside data scientists, DevSecOps engineers, and mission owners to enhance and maintain a cutting-edge analytics environment for Allied, partner, and US operations.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II (or higher) baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
• 3-5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrated experience in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Proficient in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Bash).
• Familiar with containerization (Docker) and possess a foundational understanding of orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Knowledgeable in CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, firewall rules) and secure coding principles in a GCP environment.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer certification.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Desired).
• Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Airflow (Desired).
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification (Desired).
• Experience in a regulated DoD or Intelligence Community environment (Desired).
• Up to 10% travel required.
