Cloud Security Engineer – OCI, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement and sustain cloud security measures across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI.

• Conduct architectural risk assessments, pinpoint vulnerabilities and asset exposures, and develop remediation plans.

• Set up and oversee SIEM, log analytics, identity management, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management tools.

• Serve as the primary trusted advisor for clients within an assigned portfolio.

• Define project milestones, manage communications, and address technical escalations.

• Create automated IaC deployment playbooks and security testing frameworks.

• Integrate security protocols into CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments.

• Investigate and mitigate cloud security incidents, executing forensic remediation as necessary.

• Assist in audit preparedness in GRC platforms like Vanta by collecting, testing, and validating cloud configuration evidence.

• Work alongside clients and internal teams to enhance cloud security posture and automate security operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), covering compute, networking, storage, and IAM.

• Hands-on experience in cloud security engineering across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI.

• Advanced knowledge of IAM strategies, cloud network zoning, payload encryption, and risk mitigation techniques.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Python, and Bash.

• Experience aligning cloud-native configurations with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA standards.

• Ability to manage multiple client portfolios and collaborate with US-based founders, DevOps leads, and executive teams.

• Extensive experience with enterprise logging platforms, vulnerability management systems, threat hunting feeds, and network traffic analyzers.

• Current technical certification such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, or CISA.

• Practical experience with microservice architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Zero Trust models, identity-centric security policies, network micro-segmentation, and context-aware access.

• Documented experience in scaling infrastructure configurations within rapidly growing tech startups or elite MSSPs.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional home office setup.

• Availability for a standard work schedule of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM US Eastern Time, with occasional flexibility in hours.

• Willingness and ability to travel locally for occasional in-person meetings, team gatherings, or business activities.

• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, both now and in the future.

• Successful completion of identity verification and background screening, where permitted by law.

• Participation in live video interviews with the camera on, including identity verification during recruitment and onboarding.
